Making Charoset

3/29/23

Today we made Charoset with Ms. Georgia! Charoset is one of the food items on the Seder Plate for Passover. It is made with apples, honey, grape juice, cinnamon and sometimes nuts. The Charoset symbolizes the material used to make bricks, just like the Jewish people had to do in Egypt to make the pyramids.

My Olive friends really enjoyed helping Ms. Georgia add in all the ingredients and shake everything together…they especially loved getting to try what they have created! 🍎

First we learned how to say Apple in Hebrew and got to try some plain apples

Second we chopped up all of our apples

Then we all used another slicer and sliced the apples some more

Then we added in all the ingredients like grape juice, cinnamon and honey

Lastly we SHOOK everything up to mix it
And tried out Charoset
