Today we worked as a class to create a new invitation at our light table. We took turns adding glitter and hair gel into a large Ziploc bag. The children made predictions about what the hair gel would feel like. Some of them said it felt cold, others said mushy. Once we added the ingredients, we took the bag to the light table to watch it sparkle and mush the gel around for a sensory experience. We brought out other materials to build on top of the bag and practiced taking turns and giving friends space to play.
