As we continue to dig into our glitter exploration, today we talked about some naturally found glitter. These geodes sit on our science shelf and get used in a variety of creative ways during free play. We brought out the magnifying glasses to take a closer look and discuss what we noticed about the rocks. Using oil pastels, the children then created observational drawings of the geodes.
The colder temperatures kept us indoors this morning. A few friends were looking for ways to get the wiggles out and started chasing and kicking a few balls around the classroom. To refocus this energy, we set up the Nugget like a soccer goal and made a turn taking game out of the play!
