More Menorah Making

Today we continued on with out menorah project.  We are using wooden pegs to represent the candles on our menorahs.  Before we got into painting, we talked a bit more about Hanukkah and counted all of the candles on our classroom menorah.  We used gold paint to paint the pegs.  We started out using paint brushes to apply the paint, but the kiddos found their own ways to paint the pegs.  Some of them chose to dip the pegs directly in the paint, some painted a spot on the table and then rolled the pegs through the paint.

Today was wet and dreary.  We had a Hanukkah music dance party and played with the Nugget in the hallway to get our wiggles out!
