Menorah Painting

Today we began working on our menorahs for Hanukkah.  We are using loose parts to construct our menorahs.  The bases will be made out of wooden spools and the candles made out of wooden pegs.  Today we started with the spools.  Using a salad spinner, we dumped the spools in with blue, purple and silver paints.  We took turns spinning the salad spinner and made predictions as to what the spools would look like once it stopped spinning.  We then shook some glitter onto the wet paint to give the menorah some sparkle!
