Pumpkin Guts

On Thursday, we cut some pumpkins in half and explored what was inside.  The Olive friends used all of their senses to explore the pumpkins.  Not everyone wanted to know what the pumpkin guts felt like, but we smelled them and observed the seeds and strings.  One friend was really excited to hit the pumpkin with a hammer, all of our other friends thought that was a great idea and joined in.

We got to spend some time in the outdoor classroom enjoying the unseasonably warm weather.  Digging in the sandbox is a favorite activity, and we work together on taking turns with the vehicles and shovels available.
