The Olive children have been very interested in the scissors when they at at the art center. They have specifically enjoyed cutting the paper that is tacked up to the easel. Today, we practiced cutting on long strips of paper attached to the easel. Lines were added to the paper for the children to "trace" along with the scissors.
On Tuesday, we practiced cutting with a fall theme. The children we able to "mulch" some leaves during small groups. This allowed us to focus on trying to master the proper scissor grip while making colorful piles.
