Pumpkin Washing

Today, the pumpkins we painted earlier in the week were set out for the children to explore.  They were interested in how the paint was peeling off some parts of the pumpkin and started helping peel the paint off.  We followed their interests and decided to wash the pumpkins together.  We started off with a bowl of soapy water and some sponges, everyone wanted a turn, so we got out a big bin for more friends to wash together and added some spray bottles!

The light atelier was set for fall this week.  The children enjoyed engaging with all of the leaves and gourds.
