Fall!

Now that we have wrapped up the holidays, we are moving on to our new exploration, Fall!  The children have been interested in the changing weather over the last few weeks, noticing that the leaves are changing and falling on our playground.  Yesterday, we made fall themed discovery bottles. Each bottle has a different filler and medium that allow each of the bottles to move at different speeds.  We made predictions as to which ones would move fast and which ones would  move slow.  We then added the items to the jars to see if our predictions were correct.

Today we made pumpkin slime! Once we mixed all the ingredients together, we brought out pumpkins and other fall items to build and experiment with.  Some friends pushed acorn tops into the slime to make prints.  Some friends draped their pumpkins in slime and used the slime like glue to decorate with leaves!
