Today we made slime! Friends had fun adding and mixing together the ingredients. Once we had made our slime, we used loose parts to create faces on our slime. Some friends used beads to create a smile and nose, others used them to "feed" their faces. Pipe cleaners were added to our faces for hair and mouths. This activity allowed us to work on turn taking and community building through creating the slime together. It also allowed us to work on body awareness. We were able to match body parts and show the correct location on our slime faces. We discussed what each body part is used for and how we are all the same and also how we are all different.
