Today and yesterday we introduced self portraiture into our classroom. This is a concept that we will visit periodically throughout the year and are a great addition to our "All About Me" exploration. Self portraits are a great way for our young learners to work on fine motor dexterity, observational and focusing skills. It also gives us a glimpse into your child's self image.
We set the invitation for these drawings by placing pictures of our students and a mirror on the table for them to use as reference points. They used black sharpie on white paper to create their portraits.
