Outdoor Classroom!

Our first full week of school is upon us! With our first full week brings the ability for us to explore new spaces for the first time this year.  Mondays are our day in the Outdoor Classroom.  We donned our rain suits and boots and enjoyed digging in our giant sandbox.  Wearing our boots allowed us to practice our balance and coordination in a new way.

Some friends noticed our garden boxes were full of beautiful plants! The tomatoes in the Kindergarten box are exploding with delicious fruit.  We talked about how the green ones are not ready to eat or be picked yet, but the red ones would be delicious.  Some of us even bit into the tomatoes to give them a try.  We discussed what flavors they tasted using words like: tart, sweet, and juicy.
