Today we made air dry clay together. We measured out the ingredients and then mixed them together over the heat of a cook top until a clay formed. We then used the clay to roll out beads to hang from your sukkahs at home! Doing projects together like this give our children the opportunity to feel ownership over their work. It also shows our little learners how capable they are and learn to follow safety rules in a controlled environment.
A librarian from Indianapolis Public Libraries came in to school today to read to us and sing songs. Our favorite was The Wheels on the Bus which was both a song and a book.
